The Joys of Christmas
It’s that time of year again,
as we all prepare for the delights of
Christmas.
This is always a busy season, but take
time to enjoy the colored lights, the
excitement of small children, bake some
goodies, visit with old friends, and
attend some holiday events. (Our December
Calendar is packed with celebrations
all over the frontier regions!)
Christmas and New Year’s special
recipes are featured throughout the pages
of the printed issue to make your holidays
bright. With the weather so cold lately,
that should inspire you to stay inside
and bake or roast your favorite (and
new) dishes! This last month we also
added a link on the site for recipes – it
will take you to a recipe
blog and the same recipes
as can be found in the printed issue
are listed there. I’ll
be adding more on a regular basis.
Remember to add your own link for your
business or enterprise on the Gazette
Links page. I’d also appreciate
your adding a link to the Gazette on
your own sites. Thank you!
I had no idea how much I needed some
time off until I took my 10-day trip
over to Texas in early November. There
was time to see old friends and family,
enjoy beautiful weather (‘til the
last days when rainstorms blew in), enjoy
some great food (barbeque and seafood
mostly), and really relax awhile.
Now I’m ready to resume work on
Forever Frontier the Visitors Guide.
2010 was unsettled for many reasons,
and though information was provided,
many businesses weren’t ready to
advertise. This is an independently-produced
tourism publication which is possible
only by the support of advertisers. I’ll
be sending new email notices soon, and
hope that many of you will participate
this year. Work will continue through
February or March, with the new edition
coming in April.
The closing date for January’s
Gazette will be December 20, but due
to holiday closings, don’t watch
for the January issue until January 5
or thereabouts.
As this year ends, I want to express
my appreciation to our Gazette readers,
our writers and contributors, and the
loyal advertisers (who make this publication
possible). I couldn't do this without
your support and enthusiasm!
Have a Merry Christmas and the Happiest
of New Years!
See you down the road
